We can't believe it's been a year since we opened Shop Harbor! The design collective that houses BMA At Home, Mineral Forest, and Hannah Betzel Fine Art has been an adventure and we can't wait to see where it takes us in the coming year. Please join us as we toast to our first year in the green house on Lumpkin and let us thank you for your support with light bites, beer, and cocktails! THURSDAY OCTOBER 19th 5-7pm.
Join us for a two day Athens art and design pop-up as I paint live on Friday at Steve McKenzie's interiors and lifestyle store in Atlanta, Ga! BMA At Home and Mineral Forest will also be there with wonderful offerings from their beautifully curated art and design shops.
The pop-up will begin with cocktails and light bites on Thursday July 27 at 2pm and will continue on through Friday from 10am-5pm. I will be painting live throughout the day on Friday.
Want a sneak peek at which paintings I'll be bringing with me? I'll be sharing them on my website the week leading up to the event and will offer 10% off those paintings before the pop-up starts! You can pick up at Steve's during the event or opt to have your purchase sent to you. But don't worry, I'll send out a reminder once the pre-sale starts so you don't miss a thing!

Kathy Cousart and I would like you to join us as we meet with other artists visiting each others studios. We will each take turns hosting this monthly meet-up and would love for you to participate!
Join us this Wednesday for a glass of wine in my studio in the green house next to Two Story Coffee in Five Points. This is a very casual hangout intended for artists to check out one another's studios, see works in progress, share info and get to know each other a little better. We want to promote friendship and support among Athens artists.
This meet-up is free and open to anyone who wants to come see what's going on! We love getting a peak into other artists' studios and hope you'll join us as we take turns hosting. If you're an artist and would like to host sometime, let me know in the comments below, email, or tell us at one of the meet-ups.
Hope to see you soon!
Your Five Points community businesses will have family friendly activities and attractions, including Santa at J. Christopher's, personalized hot chocolate making at The Pine, make your own Ice Cream Ornament at Hodgson's Pharmacy, a d.j. spinning vintage Christmas vinyl records and face painting at Harbor (home of BMA At Home, Mineral Forest, and Hannah Betzel Fine Art), and the list continues!
Kick off this holiday season with us in Five Points and find special gifts for everyone on your list this year!
Don't forget: Harbor has parking behind our green building as well!
Maps will be provided at Classic City Properties, and you can get yours stamped at each participating community business you visit.
Collect all the stamps and return it to Classic City Properties for a chance to win a gift basket of Five Points goodies!
Please join me in celebrating the opening of my studio and gallery in Five Points Athens!
The house, named Harbor, serves as Athens' newest design destination and houses Mineral Forest, bma at home, and Hannah Betzel Fine Art. Click here to read more about this very exciting new venture and check out the invitation below for more info on this event. We'll be serving bites and drinks and will have a dj spinning 45s. It's sure to be a great way to kick off all the fall festivities!
15 local artists' current obsessions! We each created a piece 2'x6' either directly on the wall or created it in our own studios and installed it once it was finished. This show is so much fun and one you don't want to miss! Under each piece is a table of mini art or fine art prints available for sale. Some of the installations may be for sale as well - just ask Kristen while you're there for more info!
I have two 36"x36" paintings on view through the month of December. Be sure to stop in and check out the entire show! Kristen always has great, contemporary work hanging and her shop is so fun to visit. An artists' happy place filled with pretty much any kind of paint and supplies you could want and a wall of colorful paper that reminds me of the M&M shop on Times Square in NYC. Located upstairs on Jackson St in Athens, GA.

From bma at home:
"Join us as we shine a spotlight on the artistic process through the work of Athens' artist Hannah Betzel.
For 100 consecutive days, Hannah challenged herself to create a mixed-media piece in under one hour in an effort to abandoning overthinking and allow her creativity to flow. Come see how her art evolved and talk to Hannah about how it changed her artistic process. "
Hor d'oeuvres from The Pine and spirits will be served.
